Huw Penson und Ben Langham haben die Londoner U-Bahn sowohl visuell als auch audiotechnisch als Quelle genutzt und aus ihr dieses Video gebastelt. Und das ist dann wahrscheinlich dieses Kunst, von dem immer alle reden (art from the underground).

. Das Filmduo Sebastian Schelly & Sven Arning hat in Berlin einen kleinen Skatefilm gedreht und ihn anschließend mit einem Gedicht von Charles Bukowski unterlegt. Und der wäre in rebellischer Hinsicht vielleicht auch ein guter Skater geworden. Wenn er nicht so viel geschrieben hätte.
Auf jeden Fall eine durchaus ansehnliche (und eben auch anhörbare) Kombi. Kann man so lassen.
Ben Mor hat ein paar Werke der brasilianischen Graffiti-Zwillinge OsGemeos zu einem Kurzfilm zusammengeschnitten. Und da kann man eigentlich nicht mehr viel falsch machen, ich lobe ihn dafür aber dennoch mal. Weil man das ja auch erst mal schaffen muss. Und weil er einen ausgezeichneten Geschmack hat. Und weil alles ganz schön schön.

Der australische Graffiti-Video-Künstler Sofles hat mich vor knapp 1 1/2 Jahren schon mal weggeflasht (siehe hier). Seit dem hab' ich leider nicht mehr so wirklich viel seiner Art mitgekriegt. Bis jetzt. Und er combeack't mit einem riesigen Wandgraffiti, das auf crazy 3D-Videomapping trifft. Oder eher andersrum. Mit von der Party war diesmal Filmemacherin Silena Miles.
Nicht ganz so spektakulär wie damals (kann man aber auch sowieso nie mehr toppen), aber trotzdem ganz schön cool. Wer mag, bekommt im unteren Video nochmal die ungeschnittene (quasi) Live-Version der Show in voller Länge aka 7 Minuten.

Das japanische Visual Design Studio wow hat das Nebelmeer von Tokyo beleuchtet (mit Lichtfiltern oder so, keine Ahnung). Und das Ergebnis ist eine Stadt, die aussieht, als wär sie im Himmel. Oder einer, in der jemand zu viel geraucht hat. Hat auf jeden Fall eine ähnlich beruhigende Wirkung wie eine Kippe.
Der Animator Nate Milton hat sämtliche nostalgischen Bilder aus seinem Kopf aufs Papier gebracht, mit denen er ein Kribbeln im Bauch verbindet. Und manche davon befinden sich so - oder so ähnlich (oder ganz anders) - auch in meinem Gehirn. Irgendwo.

Die belgische Stadt Mons ist die europäische Kulturhauptstadt 2015. Und um das entsprechend zu zeigen hat man den Hof vom Carré des Arts (Kunsthochschule) zu einer futuristischen Botschaft aus der Zukunft transformiert. Die visuelle Performance per 360°-Videomapping stammt von Dirty Monitor und ist ganz schön beeindruckend. Zukunftskunst.

. Der Photograph Rob Whitworth ist ein wahrer Meister des Timelapses und hat visuelle Stadtrundfahrten mit seinen Flowmotions auf's nächste Level gehoben. (wie schon in Pyongyang, oder in Barcelona). Diesmal war Rob 3 Monate im pompösen Dubai unterwegs. Und genau diese 3 Monate bekommt ihr jetzt innerhalb der nächsten 3 Minuten im Schnelldurchgang. Inklusive eines flashigen Sichtflugs durch die gesamte City - inklusive ihrer Skyline und Sanddünen. Unfassbar gut!
